awooler does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays in your browser.
awooler stores project data (audio slices, Howler.js settings, user preferences) in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device. There is no server-side storage, no cloud sync, and no backups beyond what you create yourself.
Your files never leave your browser. All audio processing happens locally in memory using the Web Audio API — nothing is uploaded, stored on a server, or sent anywhere. When using the "Open Folder" feature, files are read directly from your local filesystem via the File System Access API. Dropped files are held in browser memory only for the duration of your session.
awooler does not require or support user accounts. There is no login, no registration, and no user profile.
awooler uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymous usage data — page views, general device/browser info, and feature usage. This helps us understand how the tool is used and where to focus improvements. No personal information, audio data, or project content is ever collected or transmitted.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, analytics are not loaded at all — no scripts, no cookies, no data sent to Google.
Beyond the anonymous analytics described above, no data is shared with third parties. Your audio files and project data never leave your browser.
You can remove all awooler data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for the domain where awooler is hosted. This will delete all saved projects, preferences, and folder handle references.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
